Treco have been featured in two industry magazines!
Page 60 of May’s PHAM News carried a whole page feature on Treco, entitled “Getting the Most from a Biomass Boiler System.”
With a large number of biomass technologies available on the UK market, how do you ensure that you install a system that will meet your Customer’s expectations? Gordon Traill, our MD explores some of the key points to consider, from the big savings available to how you can calculate your RHI payments.
Treco were also featured in April’s H&V News, where our Sales Director Dale Roberts discusses the Renewable Heat Incentive.

Treco will be exhibiting at the Great Yorkshire Show with our partner Duncan Renewables. The show is held in Harrogate from the 10th – 12th of July and the Duncans Stand is on Avenue: M North.
The show will be attended by representatives from Duncan Renewables, showing off a full range of available renewable technologies. These will include Treco’s cut away Guntamatic Powerchip, a multi –fuel biomass boiler that is up to 96% efficient and runs on wood chips, wood pellets, grain and miscanthus (elephant grass).
A wide range of case studies of all renewable technologies will be on display, for both electrical and heating supplies for commercial and domestic properties.
Duncan Renewables have just handed over their largest PV installation to date at the Great Yorkshire Showground to Nigel Pulling the Chief Executive of The Yorkshire Agricultural Society. It is among the largest roof-mounted systems to date in the UK.

We’ve been encouraged to see that 99% of installed capacity and 91% of projects are solid biomass and to see Treco’s Biocom 198kW installation at Dumbleton Hall Hotel gain accreditation this week.
In case you haven’t already checked it out, we have recently added a wealth of content to the all-new RHI pages on our website
What We Have Included
You can now find out how to use Treco’s RHI Calculator, download it for free and see how much you could make from the Commercial RHI.
There is also a summary of the entire volumes 1 & 2 of the RHI Guidance, which crunches the OFGEM document from 230 pages to just 15, and which focuses just on biomass applications and is available as a pdf to download for free. We’ve had some great feedback on how much time this has saved people on their biomass boiler applications, so do take a look!
We’ve also added information on RHI Eligibility Requirements for Biomass, “How to Make an RHI Biomass Application” and “10 Things You Need to Know”.
With so much confusion about RHI biomass metering, we’ve also included information on the RHI Eligible heat meters we supply and summaries of the RHI Guidance on Metering for RHI Biomass applications.

We are delighted that a Treco installation at Dumbleton Hall Hotel has gained RHI biomass accreditation.
The total figures as of Friday last week show that 99 projects in total have now been accredited, with biomass representing 99% of installed capacity and 91% of accredited projects. To find out more about the RHI uptake; https://rhi.ofgem.gov.uk/Public/ExternalReports.aspx?id=1
The system Treco installed is a Guntamatic 198kW Biocom biomass boiler system, with 2 x 1,500 litre running on wood pellets and supplies the heating and hot water for the 34 bed hotel.
Projects of this size could expect to receive upwards of £20,000 a year, every 2 years for 20 years. Please take a look at our RHI calculator to find out more; http://www.treco.co.uk/rhi-calculator/
The system will allow the hotel to make a 30% fuel cost saving, along with reducing CO2 by 96 (or 88 tonnes) a year.

Gordon Traill, Treco’s Managing Director will be making a presentation at On Farm Energy Generation on Thursday 21st June at 3pm.
Gordon has been a Devon Dairy Farmer for 35 years and founded Treco in 2006. Since then, Treco has installed over 350 biomass boilers nationwide and Gordon’s presentation will be focused on how biomass and energy crops can be of help to farms and rural businesses and will cover the following points;
• Options for biomass heat projects
• Size of the system – costs and paybacks
• Site assessment and feedstocks
• How to capitilise on the RHI
• Could you benefit from a district heating scheme
The event is being held at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire. More information here; http://www.treco.co.uk/newsArticle/Treco+presenting+at+On+Farm+Energy+Generation+this+week%2721+/

Chris Edwards from Treco is going to be on Glendevon Energy’s stand on Thursday 21st June at the Royal Highland Show in Edinburgh.
Glendevon’s stand is number 3 in the Renewables Area on 11th Avenue.
Featuring on the stand will be the Guntamatic Powerchip multi fuel biomass boiler, which runs on wood pellets, wood chips, grain (oats, wheat, barley) along with miscanthus in chopped or pelleted form.
The focus of the show will be offering our support to Glendevon energy and offering visitors to the show the opportunity to see how the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) can benefit them.
Chris will be available, with the Glendevon team, to talk about how biomass can help to reduce fossil fuel heating costs by up to 80%, CO2 emissions by 96% and to receive Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) payments.
Visitors will be able to discuss their RHI applications and see demonstrations of Treco’s “RHI Calculator”. This tool shows prospective biomass boiler owners the potential earnings from the RHI scheme over 20 years, the fuel cost savings and the payback period, index linked to inflation.
For example, a country estate with main house and offices using a 198kW system could receive upwards of £20,000 and a farm house with cottages and holiday let using 100kW system could earn £10,000 or more a year for the 20 year duration of the scheme.
You can download Treco’s RHI Calculator from the website www.treco.co.uk/renewable-heat-incentive/ or open the Excel file straight from this link www.treco.co.uk/uploads/treco-rhi-calculator.xlsx .

Ofgem have published (11th June) an updated report as to the numbers of accredited installations within the RHI Scheme.
75 projects in total have now been accredited, and solid biomass has maintained its early lead, with 69 accredited installations, representing 92% of total projects and 99% of the total installed capacity of 21.4 megawatts.
The first couple of months of the scheme have highlighted a couple of areas where applicants are experiencing difficulties in making successful applications to the scheme.
• Applications frequently do not contain all the necessary supporting information
• The information provided is often not detailed enough
• Supporting documents are often confusing and sometimes even illegible
• There are inconsistencies in the information provided
Our best advice is to read Treco’s RHI guidance summaries http://www.treco.co.uk/uploads/rhi-guidance-summaries.pdf which condense the 230 pages of Volumes 1&2 of the RHI Guidance into just 15. We also advise ensuring all of your supporting information is clear and complete. Otherwise, your application (and the date that payments begin) will be delayed!
