We have been busy over the past couple of months updating our website and adding new features.

Content and Installations Map

We’ve revised and updated content across the site and added some great new features including a map showing some of our installations across the UK, which now number in excess of 250.

Woodfuel Suppliers Map

Another new feature is the Biomass Fuel Suppliers Map. Biomass fuel is best sourced locally and people always seem to be surprised at just how many local biomass fuel suppliers there are to their local area. So, we’ve added the Biomass Energy Centre’s Woodfuel Suppliers map to the Treco website as a resource for those searching for good local biomass fuel suppliers in their area.

RHI Calculator

We’ve also added Treco’s RHI Calculator, a simple tool shows the installed cost of a Treco biomass boiler system, potential earnings from the RHI scheme over 20 years, fuel savings and the payback period.

It only takes a second to input your fuel usage and see exactly how the Renewable Heat Incentive will help you to not only heat your buildings for less but to receive payments under the scheme.

GUNTAMATIC… who are they then??

If you have been wondering who this mystical company is… well wonder no more…

Guntamatic are the trusty manufacturers of our wonderful state of the art biomass boilers that are the UK’s Highest efficiency boiler- Yes the UK’s BEST BOILERS!

Guntamatic was founded in 1963 and currently has 180 employees. They construct, prototype and test their boilers in house. Guntmamtic have 20 000m² manufacturing area and distribute 12 000 biomass boilers annually throughout Austria and Europe including Germany, Italy, France, Switzerland, Irland, UK and Spain (with an export rate of 70%). They have been manufacturing boilers for over 45 years and have expert knowledge in the field.

The Guntamatic boilers are not only about market-leading technology- they look really sleek as well… running mostly on pellets but also logs- our technical manger absolutely LOVES them… and he knows a thing or two about boilers.

Our install team have been trained by Guntamatic and have a lot of experience installing them… taking between 3-5 days roughly (dependent on site survey though)… as the fuel store is custom-built to meet the customers requirements.

Domestic Biomass Boiler Installation

The customer had an old oil fired boiler which had broken and was looking for a biomass alternative to replace it.

The customer needed heating and hot water for his relatively well insulated property (doubled glazed windows & roof insulation). In the light of his situation we recommend- ed a K2202 and also a 3 tonne pellet store to reduce the amount the customer had to refill the hopper.

TRECO custom-made an outhouse to store the boiler and the pellet store. The out-house was specifically designed to be in-keeping with the stye of the house i.e. the tiles are the same, the angle of the roof is in line and TRECO constructed a custom built gate.

The customer received a grant and TRECO custom-built all the components to be in-keeping with the property- perfect!
