About a couple of months ago, we received the much anticipated call from the team at the National Energy Efficiency & Healthy Homes Awards saying that we were finalists in three entries - RHI Installer of the Year and twice for Large Scale Project of the Year. Needless to say it was exciting news and the whole of Treco was buzzing with excitement!
So finally it was the day of the awards on September 29, 2017 and time for us to get all scrubbed and washed for the glitzy event. We were very proud to be shortlisted for the National Awards and even prouder for the many projects and clients we represented.
The evening started out with some networking amongst glasses of bubblies and delicious canapes before we settled in for dinner. With Dan Walker as host and comedians like Sean Collins and Felicity Ward keeping the crowd entertained, we were all warmed up and ready for the night. It was lovely to see Sir Lenny Henry presenting the awards whilst cracking us all up!
We were so pleased to have walked away with two Special Commendations for both of our projects in the Large Scale Project of the Year category - Soho Farm House and Dawlish Leisure Centre. This is incredible news for us because we work hard as a company to convert as many large heat users to an energy efficient way of thinking and give it our all in each project. However being formally acknowledged for our efforts gives us the buzz that we thrive upon and makes all the various challenges we have to deal with in most of the projects worthwhile.
All accolades and recognition are meaningless and unattainable if it weren’t for the remarkable team at Treco who have made it possible. We are truly only as great as the team behind us, and we have an amazing family at Treco.
The awards dinner ended with the RJP band playing some awesome music that got everyone onto their feet to dance the night out. The team had a lovely time at the dinner and, needless to say, let their hair down. Although, everyone was up bright and early the next day and feeling fresh as daisies. Always professional clearly.
