TRECO announce Microgeneration Certification Scheme Installer status
added october 9th 2009
TRECO is delighted to announce they have been granted Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) Installer status.
The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) is an independent scheme that certifies microgeneration products and installers against identified criteria to provide greater protection for consumers.
MCS Installer status demonstrates to customers that Treco meets the stringent guidelines for the supply, design, installation, set to work, commissioning and handover of the microgeneration technologies.
As part of the MCS accreditation process TRECO also signed up to a Code of Practice that meets the guidelines set by the Office of Fair Trading's (OFT's) Consumer Code Approval Scheme.
TRECO Director, Gordon Traill commented, “The purpose of this is Code of Practice is to ensure that contractors offer consumers protection, including complaints handling and a comprehensive performance prediction for products, and TRECO has shown its commitment to service excellence across these important areas.”
The MCS is the only certification scheme to cover all microgeneration products and services, and has support from the Department of Energy and Climate Change, industry and non-governmental groups as a prime method for making a substantial contribution to cutting the UK's dependency on fossil fuels and carbon dioxide emissions.
Treco is now in the process of obtaining the MCS certification for its full product range.
