Use of gas for heating to be banned in Scotland's castles

Return to the article listHistoric Environment Scotland (HES) have just announced their plans to remove gas heating from all historic buildings , including Edinburgh Castle, by 2032. The aim is for all the historic buildings to be net-zero by 2045, which is in line with the targets set by the Scottish government. In some instances they will be looking to use low carbon district heating systems on sites, so fingers crossed they look to use biomass.
